response exercising in accordance with the principles of HICS,
the Incident Command System
(ICS) and the National Incident
Management System (NIMS) helps
achieve a desired incident outcome.
Introduce the unique Command School tabletop exercise facilitation
into your annual emergency preparedness calendar. Pre-paredness
learning is enhanced
with unique hands-on features and a
scale replica of a hospital campus. Your team will learn to
respond to all-hazards ... before it happens!
The creation and implementation of
the National Incident Management
System is mandated in section 16 of
HSPD-5. The NIMS is intended to
"provide a consistent nationwide approach
for federal, state, and local
governments to work effectively and
efficiently together to prepare for,
respond to, and recover from domestic
incidents, regardless of cause, size,
or complexity."
